If you experience strong and overwhelming emotions when relating to others, maybe with feelings of inadequacy and sensitivity to people’s judgement, or, on the opposite, with the constant sensation of being superior to others, which makes you often feel out of place, have you ever thought of seeking for a therapist’s support in order to make your social life smoother?

We have some inner interpersonal schemes that help us making sense of our and other people’s behaviour; they help us navigating through social interactions taking the specific situation and person into account. However, maybe for some highly stressful circumstances, or an inner personality disorder, sometimes these schemes may become too rigid and we realize that relationships with partners, family, friends and colleagues fall apart, or become unsatisfactory and conflictual. In these situations, a counselling path is a must, as we can only live happily if we are supported by healthy relationships.
