What brought me here

From my university years, spent between the Milan and Vienna campuses of Sigmund Freud University, I developed an interest in clinical psychology with the desire to combine a focus on the individual with an evidence-based approach. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to collaborate with several centres in Italy and abroad, taking part in international research projects and developing a perspective that is attentive to the quality and effectiveness of psychological interventions, including across different cultural contexts. Additionally, my training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, enriched by more recent third-wave approaches such as ACT, mindfulness, and DBT, has provided me with a practical framework for integrating scientific knowledge into clinical practice and translating it into tools that are useful to each individual. I currently work in private practice, providing psychological counselling and support to adolescents, young adults, adults, and couples.

My way of being a therapist

I view psychological support as a collaborative journey, in which understanding the mechanisms underlying difficulties goes hand in hand with developing concrete strategies to address them. The work starts from the individual’s personal history and characteristics, with the aim of understanding how thoughts, emotions, and behaviours influence one another and may contribute to maintaining existing difficulties. This understanding provides the basis for defining shared goals and identifying practical and personalised strategies to support concrete and lasting change. The process takes place within a safe and non-judgemental space, where difficulties can be explored and addressed in a way that is consistent with the individual’s needs and values.
